“ Once upon a time lived a young girl named Teresa. She grew up in Spain where she learned how to sew. She became quite good. She even helped to sew for Spanish royalty.
One day, it was time to pack her bags and head out for a new adventure. After crossing the big blue ocean she arrived to Mexico, to a city called Merida. After getting settled in her new life she remembered how much she loved and enjoyed creating and sewing. So, she set up her own little workshop at home designing wonderful headpieces.
Before she knew it, she had a well-known fashion house and a great team to help her with all the designs ordered. Teresa de la Gandara, became a legend. French lace, tulle, flowers, brides’ vails, fancy hats… all flying everywhere!
It was sad to see her go. Decades had gone past and soon her spirit was starting to fade away. ‘Till one day, great-granddaughter Jennifer Margarita Cano discovered the beauty and passion in sewing, creating, and designing. De la Gandara comes back!
